The Ngouane Family proudly presents this award to college students in the Kolanut community who are ready to explore the richness of their heritage through a deeply personal lens.

🎤 Your mission:
Conduct an interview with one of your parents about their immigration story from Cameroon to the United States. Dive into their experience — the cultural shifts, the struggles, and the triumphs that shaped them.

Then, take what you’ve learned and turn it into a powerful creative piece that captures the emotional and human side of that journey.

🎨 Format options:

• A poem

• A short essay (2 pages max)

• A video

• A PowerPoint presentation

🎓 Eligibility: Open to all college students in the Kolanut community
💰 Prize: $300 (awarded at the sponsor’s discretion)
